Kahaani (कहानी) means “story“ in Hindi.
My friend was looking for someone to redesign her dance team’s logo. Here’s how I told their story.

The letter क (ka) represents the first letter in the team name “Kahaani’. It occupies the front and center of the logo, tying everything together with its exquisite symmetry and mesmerizing loops.

The logo is shaped to resemble a pen nib, symbolizing the story-telling art brought forth by the Bollywood fusion dance style.

The dance team, based in Seattle, wanted to showcase elements of their city of origin. The raindrop-shaped frame and silhouette of the Seattle Space Needle hint at Kahaani’s devotion for the rainy city.
